With adsense you get paid for clicks, whereas with affiliate marketing, you earn a commission for any sales made after a visitor clicks on a link or banner on your site. Each has their own advantages. Adsense requires that you just have good related content and contextual ads. Affiliate marketing requires a certain amount of preselling on your site to entice a person to click on a banner or link…and then follow through by ordering a product, so that you can earn a commission.
Last year over $40 Billion were exchanged between buyers and sellers in affiliate marketing on the internet. And despite recent economic turbulence, it’s predicted to grow substantially in the years ahead. Imagine getting just a tiny piece of that pie!
Although the explanations give you just the basics of how adsense and affiliate marketing work, they are very simple processes to implement, requiring just rudimentary knowledge. Sometimes, you don’t even need to have a website to promote affiliate products.
